No Excuses 5K/10K
in Memory of Scott Hines

Proceeds benefit Braves Miracle Field of Rome.

The 5K/10K road race will be held at 8 a.m. and will begin at the State Mutual Stadium, home of the Rome Braves, and will end with runners crossing home plate. The course will take the runners on the new Armuchee Connector and Three Mile Road while also using the trail system around State Mutual Stadium.

This event is in memory of local fitness and health trainer Scott Hines whose motto was "No Excuses" and will benefit the Braves Miracle Field of Rome. The special athletes at the Braves Miracle Field of Rome live Scott's motto of "No Excuses" each week as they suit up to play America's pastime. Over 100 athletes of all ages have come out to play baseball at the Braves Miracle Field of Rome. Through a partnership with the Rome-Floyd Parks & Recreation Authority, games are programed throughout the spring and fall for children and adults with any disability to be able to enjoy the game of baseball.
